No Encouragement of Action

GroundTruth explicitly does not:

• Encourage users to take any specific action based on reported information
• Advise users to avoid, approach, or interact with any reported conditions
• Provide recommendations on how to respond to any situation
• Suggest evasion, confrontation, or any other behavioral response

Accuracy and Reliability

Users should understand the following about information accuracy:

• All reports originate from community members and are not independently verified by official sources
• Confidence scores indicate corroboration levels among community reports, not official confirmation
• Reports may be inaccurate, outdated, or deliberately false
• Conditions may change rapidly and reports may not reflect current situations
• The absence of reports does not indicate the absence of any condition

GroundTruth makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• GroundTruth and its operators are not liable for any decisions made based on information provided through the service
• We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this service
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service
• We are not liable for actions taken by users who report or consume information through the platform

User Responsibilities

By using GroundTruth, you agree to:

• Use the service for lawful purposes only
• Submit only truthful, first-hand observations
• Not use the service to harass, stalk, or target any individuals or groups
• Not attempt to manipulate confidence scores through false or coordinated reporting
• Accept full responsibility for any actions you take based on information from this service

Misuse Policy

The following activities are prohibited and may result in service restrictions:

• False Reporting: Deliberately submitting inaccurate reports
• Coordinated Manipulation: Working with others to artificially inflate or deflate confidence scores
• Targeting: Using the platform to track, harass, or endanger specific individuals
• Automated Abuse: Using bots or scripts to submit reports
• Spam: Submitting excessive reports to disrupt the service

Consequences

Misuse may result in:

• Reduced weighting of reports from the associated session
• Temporary or permanent restrictions on reporting capabilities
• Other measures to protect service integrity

Privacy

GroundTruth is designed with privacy in mind:

• No user accounts are required
• Session identifiers rotate automatically
• Reporter information is one-way hashed and cannot be traced to individuals
• Location data is used only for proximity features and is not persistently stored with identifying information
