Location Data

We collect your device's location when you:

• Tap the "Find Me" button to view hazards near you
• Submit a hazard report

Location data is used solely to show nearby hazards and to associate your reports with a geographic location. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.

Device Information

We automatically generate a random, anonymous identifier for your device. This identifier:

• Is not linked to your personal identity
• Is used only to prevent duplicate reports from the same device
• Cannot be used to identify you personally

Hazard Reports

When you submit a hazard report, we collect:

• The geographic coordinates of the report
• The type of hazard (ICE Agent, Military, or Protest)
• The time of the report
• Your anonymous device identifier

Bug Reports (Optional)

If you choose to submit a bug report, we collect:

• Your description of the issue
• Any error logs you choose to include
• Your device type and operating system

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Display hazard reports on the map for all users
• Verify and validate hazard reports through community confirmation
• Send proximity alerts when you are near a reported hazard
• Improve the app's functionality and fix bugs
• Prevent abuse and spam reports

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Hazard reports (location and type only) are shared publicly with other app users to fulfill the core purpose of the app. These reports do not contain any personally identifiable information.

4. Data Retention

Hazard reports are automatically expired and removed from our system after 60 minutes of inactivity (no new confirmations). We do not maintain permanent records of hazard locations.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Secure server infrastructure
• Limited data collection (privacy by design)
• Anonymous identifiers instead of personal information

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Deny location permissions (though this limits app functionality)
• Request deletion of any bug reports you've submitted
• Uninstall the app at any time, which stops all data collection

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
