• Approximate location – Used to determine whether safety alerts are relevant to your general area. Location data is not stored long-term and is not linked to a personal identity.
• Push notification tokens – Used solely to deliver alerts to your device. These tokens do not personally identify you and are not shared.
• Basic diagnostic data (optional) – Limited technical information such as app version and error logs may be collected to improve stability and performance.

GroundTruth does not collect:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Phone numbers
• Government-issued identifiers
• Contacts
• Photos or media
• Precise background location tracking

How Information Is Used

Information is used only to display relevant safety alerts, deliver notifications, and maintain app reliability and security. Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or tracking.

GroundTruth does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties. Data may only be disclosed if required to comply with applicable laws or legal obligations.

Data Retention

Alert and location data is retained only as long as necessary for real-time functionality. Data automatically expires and is not archived for long-term analysis.

All data transmitted by the app is encrypted in transit using industry-standard security practices.

GroundTruth is intended for users 18 years of age or older. The app does not knowingly collect data from children.

You may disable location access or notifications at any time through your device settings. You may stop using the app at any time.
